If you, a family member or the entire family is facing deportation from the country, the only real way to try and stop it is to hire a family immigration lawyer or a deportation defense attorney to help you. The laws surrounding immigration are complicated, and if you have any hope of staying in the country after entering it illegally, you need to have some help from an expert.

There are a lot of reasons people come into the country illegally, but some of those reasons are very valid and can be a reason for the judge to allow you or your family to stay and work through the process of becoming citizens. The attorney will be your best ally and can go argue to keep you in the country or at least put you and your family all together while you await a hearing.

For families with children that are immigrating together, the entire family must stay intact. Talk to your lawyer if you are separated from the rest of the family or if you suspect officials are going to separate you.
